Gerald M. Josephson, DMD
Dr. Josephson has almost 30 years of experience
in dentistry, and has dedicated his life to restoring and beautifying
smiles. We hope his
amount of experience
in dentistry will reassure you of his expertise and competence, as
well as his level of professionalism, creativity and maturity.
After Dr. Josephson graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Dental
School in 1975, he entered into a general practice residency in the state
of Florida. Many patients don't realize a general practice residency
is difficult to achieve, and not available to all general dentists; it
is only available to the best general dentists in the country. Soon afterward,
Dr. Josephson practiced dentistry as an associate at other dental practices
in Pennsylvania and Florida.
In 1984, he opened up this dental practice in his hometown of Pittsburgh,
and has garnered a reputation for excellence in this neighborhood. In
1992, he achieved accreditation from the American Academy of Cosmetic
Dentistry (also not an easily available achievement to all general dentists),
which means he is qualified to perform cosmetic and restorative dental
procedures to create the smile you've always wanted. Dr. Josephson is the only Accredited Member of the AACD in the Tri-State area.
Dr. Josephson belongs
to several dental associations to maintain and deepen his understanding
of this ever-changing profession, including
the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry,
the Odontological Society of Western Pennsylvania, the University of
Pittsburgh
Dental Research Club, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and
the Pennsylvania Dental Association.
Dr. Josephson’s wife is an audiologist, and they have two children.
Dr. Josephson enjoys golf and photography, and many patients proudly
see pictures of themselves smiling their newly restored, beautified smiles
on his reception room walls.
